compilation issue with Boxturtle release Revision 10186

Hello friends,
I am trying to compile Boxturtle release. Revision checkedout is 10186. System details are:

 Debian Squeeze, gcc4.4.3


I have updated rosdep.yaml to match specification of package available in my repository :

 debian:
    squeeze/sid: libboost1.40-all-dev libboost-regex1.40-dev libboost-thread1.40-dev libboost-signals1.40-dev libboost-filesystem1.40-dev libboost-python1.40-dev libboost-program-options1.40-dev libboost-math1.40-dev

But i am getting following errors:

Nitin,

You're OS calls itself "squeeze" but the definitions are for
"squeeze/sid"  If you change the definitions to "squeeze" it should
install them if you do a rosmake --rosdep-install PACKAGE_NAME.  or
rosdep install PACKAGE_NAME

It did not helped. I am getting same errors.
Also I have Log4cxx and boost library installed. It seem a problem in configuration at some place for detection. In between, I have managed to compile C-turtle base. It implies system has all prerequisite for installations.

gtest requires neither boost nor log4cxx to build.  Try building gtest directly:
  cd ros/3rdparty/gtest
  make

Hi Brian,
It did helped. I compiled all the 3rd party requirements before make. There were some md5checksum issues which were resolved with fresh downloads.

Hi Nitin,

The functions that are not being found were added to actionlib close to a year ago.  What version of the common stack do you have?
> roscd common
> cat CMakeLists.txt

You'll see the version at the bottom, inside a "rosbuild_make_distribution" call.  If you're up to date on boxturtle, you should be at 1.0.6 for common.

When you say that you're at r10529, is that for ros-pkg?  r10529 is extremely old for ros-pkg.  You should use the installation instrutions at the following link:
http://www.ros.org/wiki/ROS/Installation
